The Woman in Black - Traditional poster

What is a traditional poster?
A traditional poster was the first advertisement technique used by movie directors. It included key details such as the release date and meaningful, relevant imagery.

What effect does this poster have on people?
This type of poster is meant to appeal to a large audience and encourage them to invest in the film. It includes the release date to ensure that the maximum amount of people are aware of this.

My traditional poster:
I created a traditional poster for the 2012 film 'The Woman in Black'. I included a location image as most of the film is based within the house, therefore it is very relevant. As well as this, I included an image of the main character with a different effect to make him stand out. I used a sepia tone over the character because the film is based in 1983 and I thought that sepia made it look antique.
