Our colour palette:
Whilst planning our social realism trailer, I created a colour palette for us to refer back to at all points of production. I especially focused on the contrast between light and dark colours, for example orange black. During my research stage, I discovered that many social realism films often have contrasting colours to create a focal point within a shot. This was usually their technique as the location of the shot was often left in its natural state. As well as this, I incorporated warm and cold tones as I thought that I could use them to present different meanings. For example, flashbacks could be shown in warmer tones whilst reality are shown in cold blues and greys.
