Trainspotting, first shown in 1996, is a social realism/black comedy film. It follows an orange toned colour palette, similar to the one that we used throughout Cupcake. It has similar locational shots as my social realism trailer and depicted very similar, realistic situations like mine. Therefore, when creating my website I looked into the Trainspotting website.
The Trainspotting website only included one page of advertisement and interactive activities. It was very clearly used as a promotional tool and nothing more than that. There was minimal imagery or actual information regarding the film. The website clearly referred to the colour palette used throughout the film, showing strong hues of orange.
After looking at the Trainspotting Website, I decided that I wanted to make my website much more visual and informative whilst still being a promotional tool. As well as this, I wanted my website to seem a little more like a prostitution profile with provocative colours and connotations.
